I also found out that my sales rep was never paid commission for my sale. If I take them to small claims court it doesn't mean they will pay, even when I win the case. Something tells me a letter from the attorney isn't going to scare LTG into paying back the money. I have also hired an attorney, but nothing has been done yet since it has only been a couple of days. I posted and then 3 other people posted with similar stories. I also spoke to another person in the same situation. I have all my paperwork ready to file with the Attorney General.

If anyone is having a similar issue, I would greatly appreciate any advice on how to handle. I'm not sure, but think they could be affiliated with American Travel Planners and Victory Travel Group which all ironically have offices located in the same cities. My question is.I was going to start with filing a complaint with the Attorney General, but are there other options that may be better. Lifetime TG (to no one's surprise) will not return any phone calls or respond to any emails. So, by the time we contacted the bank inquiring about the charge, they said it's past the grace period to respond and it's out of their hands now. We call the bank to see what's going on and they said the merchant disagreed with the dispute, sent them the contract we signed and indicated, "If we have proof that we cancelled, they will refund the money." We never received a notice from the bank indicating we had 7days to respond to this. Two months go by the charge shows up on the credit card again. Another week went by, and since we didn't get a response from them, we disputed the charge on the credit card. We tried several times to get in touch with them over the phone and email to no avail.

Lifetime TG responded that they had everything and will issue us a full refund. I also sent in emails cancelling the membership and asking for confirmation they in fact received everything they needed to issue the refund. We sent in all paperwork (via Certified Mail) as well as a letter confirming we wanted to cancel. Per the contract, we cancelled well within the 5-day recission period. We got suckered into signing up, went home, did a little research (a little was all it took), then decided to cancel the membership the next day.
